…too girly?

Maybe you remember? In 2018, several cases of queer refugees went through the media, all related to clichés and stereotypes: “sits normally, has arms crossed, hair not dyed”, “has no porn on his phone”, “is too girly”.

Now, finally, the last case in this series has been decided positively at the BVwG. F. from Iraq filed his asylum application in Austria in 2015. During the procedure, he was forcibly outed by the BFA to his family. After almost seven years, he can finally start his life here. Thanks to RosaLila PantherInnen for the great community support
